When to Send Your Wedding Stationery

You are well on your way into wedding planning; your venue is booked, maybe your found your dream dress, and have finalized the menu. Now its time to let your friends and family know when and where they need to be to help you dance the night away!

Here is the timeline for sending wedding stationery for all of my clients.

  • Save-the-date: Send 6-8 months prior to your wedding date, or 10-12 months out for a destination wedding.

  • Invitations: Send 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding date.

  • RSVP deadline: Request that your guests respond 2-3 weeks prior to your wedding date. Confirm when you will need to provide your vendors with a final headcount, and give yourself a few days to track down any stragglers…because there will be stragglers!

You can always choose to adjust to better fit the needs of your wedding, but these generally work for most of my couples!
